Updated: Mar 12, 2022

During WWII the general public was asked to please refrain from using the telephone any longer than five minutes, if at all. The public was also asked not to call anyone between the hours of 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM so that our nation’s military personnel could call their own loved ones. Advertisements were in all the papers and on the radio asking for everyone to please adhere to these guidelines.
